Greenberg Masters Seminar

The Center for Teaching, Research, and Learning is sponsoring a seminar for MA and MFA students based upon our highly successful Greenberg PhD Seminars for Effective Teaching.  This one-day workshop is designed for Masters Degree students who are considering teaching at either a community college or four-year institution after they complete their degree.  The session focuses on topics such as:  how to design a course, write a syllabus, give effective lectures, lead discussions, and assess student work.

NOTE: The content of this program replicates the pilot Greenberg MA program that was offered last year.

The Greenberg Masters Seminar will meet on Sunday, October 28th from 9am to 3pm in the Founder’s Room of the SIS building.  A light breakfast with coffee will be served in the morning.  Lunch will also be provided.

Register online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/2012GbMasters.  Attendees will be registered on a first-come first served basis.  Admission is limited to the first 50 applicants.  Participants will receive a confirmation and reminder email approximately one week before the scheduled workshop.

If you have any questions or need more information on this program, please contact Meghan Foster at mfoster@american.edu.
