This interactive workshop will provide an introduction to the philosophy of Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) as a means for promoting ethics in research at contemporary universities. The elements and modules of an RCR program will be introduced to outline relations between RCR and (a) professional career development or (b) research misconduct. Several case studies will be discussed. Certificates of attendance will be provided. The workshop is appropriate for undergraduate and graduate students conducting research.
