Federal Government Fellowships

Federal agencies and departments ranging from DHS to EPA to NIH annually host Science & Technology Policy Fellows, supported by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) . Social scientists as well as other scientists and engineers are placed across multiple program areas in funded fellowships, including:
  • Congressional (2 placements)
  • Diplomacy, Security & Development (30-40 placements)
  • Energy, Environment, Agriculture Program (30-40 placements)
  • Health, Education, & Human Services Program (30-40 placements) 
To learn more about the fellowships, join WIPAR at a luncheon featuring the AAAS program director and alumni fellows on Friday. September 28, from 12 pm to 2 pm. RSVP is required. Please let us know by Tuesday, September 25, via email to wipar@american.edu, if you plan to attend. Participants will subsequently receive additional information on the event location and logistics. Faculty from area universities are also welcome to attend.
