Federal Government Fellowships

Federal agencies and departments ranging from DHS to EPA to NIH annually host Science & Technology Policy Fellows, supported by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) . Social scientists as well as other scientists and engineers are placed across multiple program areas in funded fellowships, including:
  • Congressional (2 placements)
  • Diplomacy, Security & Development (30-40 placements)
  • Energy, Environment, Agriculture Program (30-40 placements)
  • Health, Education, & Human Services Program (30-40 placements) 
To learn more about the fellowships, join WIPAR at a luncheon featuring the AAAS program director and alumni fellows on Friday. September 28, from 12 pm to 2 pm. RSVP is required. Please let us know by Tuesday, September 25, via email to, if you plan to attend. Participants will subsequently receive additional information on the event location and logistics. Faculty from area universities are also welcome to attend.
