This
single position is open to current graduate students for the 2013 Spring
Semester. The position entails working as a member of a team in conducting
research and contributing to analysis on issues related to clean energy goods
and services, with particular emphasis on examining global markets and trade
activity for smart grid technology and renewable energy related services. The
position will also entail manipulating databases to produce targeted data sets
for use in ongoing analytical reports.
Candidates
should have experience/interest in international trade and economics, as well
as the clean energy/technology industry. The
position is unpaid but may qualify for class credit. If selected for the
position, the USITC will complete a volunteer agreement with your school.

This

contributing to analysis on international trade and competitiveness issues
related to technology and manufacturing goods and industries.
Potential
projects may include examining global markets and trade in smart grid
technology, barriers and policies in trade for telecommunications goods and
services, and research on trade in digital goods or environmental goods. These activities may entail literature
reviews and other targeted research, manipulating databases for use in ongoing
analytical reports, and summarizing research findings through written products.
Candidates
should have experience/interest in international trade and economics, as well
as the ability to manipulate and present data, and write research findings
cogently. The position is unpaid but may
qualify for class credit. If selected for the position, the USITC will
complete a volunteer agreement with your school.
